Year 2 have enjoyed an inspiring week packed with visitors, teamwork and creativity. From learning about community responsibility with a police officer, to improving basketball skills, celebrating reading success and meeting a real author, the class have given their very best.

Year 2 have hit the ground running this term with new classroom setups, exciting geometry lessons, fable writing adventures, and athletics practice. It’s been a busy and brilliant start to the summer, full of creativity, teamwork, and energy!

Year 2 have had a fantastic week filled with storytelling twists, hands-on computing, and a tasty fruit kebab project! They also explored online safety, got creative with seasonal artwork, and tackled sequencing with Bee-Bots. Find out more about their exciting activities!

This half term year 2 have been very busy! The children worked so hard during chance to shine and showed off their skills they have learnt.

We have had a very busy half term in Tanni Grey-Thompson Class.

In Tanni-Grey Thompson class this week we have been carrying out some science experiments for our growing plants theme.

This week we have used money to practise buying items from a ‘shop’. Maybe the children could practise counting up the loose change at home.

Tanni-Grey Thompson class have shown all of our school values of Love, Courage and Friendship since they have started in Year 2.

In English, the children have learnt The Papaya that Spoke story off by heart and are using it to create and write their very own versions.
