Year 1 have made a fantastic start to the Summer Term with church visits, creative English lessons and challenging maths puzzles. From learning about special celebrations with Father Tony to exploring The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch, the children have shown curiosity, confidence and determination.

Year 1 have had a brilliant half term full of creativity and confidence. From writing villain tales and using powerful adjectives, to partitioning numbers and building strong houses for the little pigs, the children have worked hard and shown fantastic progress across the curriculum.

This week, Mary Ellis Class flew high with fantastic attendance, extra playtime, and a flock of feathered friends for the Spirited Arts competition. From grammar work to creative collages, the children have had a week full of achievement and imagination!

From acting out Bible stories to exploring odd and even numbers, Mary Ellis class have had a jam-packed week of discovery. They've sorted materials, investigated castles, written about animals, and zipped through athletics—all while learning what it means to be a good friend.
