Applying for a place

The Isle of Wight Council is the Admissions Authority for our Academy. All applications for places at St Francis Catholic and Church of England Academy should be made to the Admissions Department at the Isle of Wight Council. They can be contacted as follows:

Is you child due to start school in September 2020?

Your child can start primary school in the September after they have reached the age of 4  (i.e. children who were born on or between 1 September 2015 and 31 August 2016). 

Follow the link below to apply online for a Reception Class place for September 2020. 

Parents will find out the result of their application on Thursday 16th April 2020.

Summer born children

 If your child has their 4th birthday during the period 1st April to 31st August 2020, the Department for Education guidance and the School Admissions Code allow parents to delay entry of their children into the school system if they do not feel their children are ready to begin school at this point.
